I can usually hear the sound for a few minutes. It sounds like like some kind of fluid or water is splashing around underneath the center console area.If this is the original six year old coolant, that is too long. Of course it is possible the temperature sending unit is malfunctioning. You could use an infrared thermometer to check for hot and cold spots in your radiator. At six years, should not be blocked with scale and rust, but possible. Started overheating while setting the timing a month or so back, replaced thermostat, water pump & the fan clutch, it still overheats at an idle but only after 15 or 20 minutes. I'm thinking of replacing the thermostat with a 185 currently it has a 195 in it.
